Recently, Wikileaks.com published thousands of classified documents from the United States military’s war efforts. So the big question is, Should classified information be available to the public or not? On one hand, officials say it hampers international military efforts, and even puts lives in danger. On the other hand, some people see the value in America being transparent with its military strategies and information.
This stirring situation is a great opportunity for humanity to see the value in being transparent. Take away manipulative secret tactics and you take away the fundamental tenets of winning a war. You might as well take away war. Why do people fear ‘letting down our defenses’? Lack of safety. Possibility of death. Sooner or later we’ll need to exemplify a new way to live in faith and soul, that as a spirit we are safe and death is not final but a new beginning.
